De film "Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man" begint met Tommy die Arthurs graf bezoekt. De steen vermeldt 1938. Vier jaar na seizoen zes. Gaandeweg de film komt het echte verhaal naar boven. Arthur kwam geld halen bij Tommy, stal zijn auto met wapens erin.

Hij heeft Arthur eigenhandig gewurgd. Met zijn eigen handen. Omdat hij "vol zat met whiskey en woede". Omdat hij "van hem af wilde". Steven Knight maakte van Arthur geen slachtoffer van omstandigheden, maar een slachtoffer van zijn broer. Door Arthur te doden, doodde Tommy het enige wat hem overeind hield.

Waarom fans Arthurs dood niet meteen geloofden Een mannelijke houding. Erg Shelby, eigenlijk. Tommy droeg de schuld van Arthur met zich mee tot aan zijn eigen dood.
